Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the 
following programmes offered at the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State for the 
2018/2019 Academic Session. 
1. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES 
FOR TWO (2) YEARS 
I. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDIES 
(a) Accountancy; 
(b) Business Administration and Management; 
(c) Marketing; 
(d) Office Technology and Management. 
II. SCHOOL OF GENERAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 
The minimum entry requirements for admission into the Higher National Diploma 
programmes are as follow: 
A. The National Diploma in the relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit 
grade obtained from a recognised Institution, and a minimum of one-year 
post qualification experience. In exceptional cases, candidates with pass 
grade and a minimum of two years post qualification experience in the 
specific field may be considered for admission. 
B. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) relevant credit passes, including 
Mathematics and English Language at the SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB 
and other O/L equivalent qualifications obtained at not more than two (2) 
sittings. 
C. All candidates, including ND graduates from Federal Polytechnic, Idah 
are to mandatorily process and forward their academic transcripts and 
confidential reports to the Registrar for admission purposes.

3. REMEDIAL PROGRAMMES: 
These are one-year programmes designed to prepare candidates with 
deficiencies in the entry requirements and subsequent admissions for full-
time National Diploma (ND) programmes in the following: 
I. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING 
(a) Civil Engineering Technology 
(b) Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology 
(c) Mechanical Engineering Technology 
(d) Metallurgical Engineering Technology 
(e) Foundry Engineering Technology.
II. SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 
The entry requirements are, at least five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Passes or their 
equivalents, including Mathematics and English Language, at NOT more than two 
(2) sittings obtained from WAEC, NECO and NABTEB in subjects relevant to the 
programmes. 
METHOD OF APPLICATION: 
1. Log on to the address www.fepoda.edu.ng
2. Click on the On-line Application Tab 
3. Fill the form with valid e-mail address and password containing eight (8) 
characters in alphabets and numbers and print out the Payment Invoice with 
Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number. 
4. Take the printed Payment Invoice to any Bank for the payment of Five 
Thousand Naira (₦5,000.00) only using the Remita. 
5. Go back to the School website (www.fepoda.edu.ng) to complete the 
registration by clicking on “Finish Registration”. 
6. Print out the Application Form, Confidential Report and State of Origin 
documents.

APPLICATION FEE: 
Each application form costs ₦5,000.00. 
CLOSING DATE: 
The closing date for the application is 31st October, 2018. 
All screening exercises for the HND and Remedial candidates will take place at the 
Federal Polytechnic, Idah and on a date to be announced later. Candidates are to 
check the Polytechnic website for updates from 1st – 3rd November, 2018.

Who Was Martin Luther King Jr?

Martin Luther King Jr., a man who embodied the U.S. civil rights movement, was assassinated more than 50 years ago on April 4, 1968. Here are some key facts about his life. Early life Martin Luther King Jr. was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia.
